Are you an Explorer or a Tourist?

What's the difference between an explorer and a tourist? Tourists travel to new lands, spend money and return with souvenirs, explorers seek answers, are challenged and return with understanding and knowledge of a new land and culture.
Becoming a tourist is fine for many people, as is measuring the success of a vacation by the amount of trinkets and knick knacks you can display on your return

But maybe you are looking for more? Imagine the possibilities if instead of becoming a tourist on your next vacation you become an explorer!

To become an explorer takes a willingness to step out of the ordinary vacation created by travel agents and resort hotels. Instead, you commit yourself to adventure, creativity and seeking knowledge.

“We shall not cease from exploration and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started... and know the place for the first time.” T.S. Eliot

Language Immersion Programs make it easy to bring out the explorer in all of us. A typical day in one of our programs might be to spend a few hours in the morning studying Italian at your proficiency level, and then the afternoon learning new recipes from an Italian chef in Florence. Or perhaps learning French in Paris followed by a painting class from a French artist in the afternoon. The possibilities are endless, as is the amount of understanding gained through becoming immersed in the language and culture of the country of your choice.

So will your next journey be as a tourist, or an Explorer? The choice is yours. Call today to learn more about our exciting programs and travel into the world of knowledge and understanding!
