Accommodations
HOST FAMILY: For those looking for a total immersion in French culture, a host family is the ideal choice. By staying with a family, you will gain an understanding of France from the inside. You will be living in a comfortable home and often sharing in the everyday life of your hosts, sometimes even in their family activities. You may opt for a single room or to share a room with another student. If you choose to share a room, we will do our best to match you with a student of around your own age who does not speak the same native language as you.
Families are visited once a year and are submitted to a report. They have a contract with the school. The majority have been working with the school for a long time. Host families are selected to meet the students and families criteria.
Sheets (but not towels) will be provided by your host family and will be changed once a week. You will be responsible for your own room, which you should keep reasonably clean and tidy.
All host families are located within Antibes/Juan-les-Pins city limits. Preference is given to host families based near the school. Particularly during the summer, however, some of you may need to take the bus to get to school (maximum 30-minute trip).
Students in host families will be allowed to go out during the evenings till 11:00 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday and till 1:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday WITH PARENTAL PERMISSION. Failure to comply with rules of parental permission will result in expulsion from the school.
ON-CAMPUS: Two campuses are available. Both campuses offer a swimming pool, gardens and multi-acred sports fields. Well-balanced meals are prepared on each campus with students' tastes in mind, in compliance with hygiene and food security regulations (HACEP method). All meals are taken on campus (with the exception of weekend excursions). Most meals are in the form of buffets and provide for the many vegetarians among the students.
Equipped to accommodate 2 to 4 students, rooms are pleasantly light and enjoyable to spend time in. We strive to house English speaking students with non-English speaking students. You will benefit from a private storage space (padlocks for sale on campuses). Each room also has a bathroom, shared on the corridor, depending on the campus. A 50€ deposit will be asked on arrival. This deposit will be refunded to you in full on the day of departure, less any breakage, missing items, costs of repairs or any cleaning that may be necessary. Sheets (but not towels) will be provided and will be changed weekly. Rooms are tidied daily and cleaned once a week: you will be responsible for your own room, which you should keep reasonably clean and tidy.
Organizers' offices are located on each campus, and open from am to 11 pm. Organizers are at your disposal for information, advice and are on duty 24 hours a day. Each student is part of an international group and assigned two to four principal organizers. You will also find the mail and message service, phone cards on sale, and various special offers for a number of activities in town.
Most of the school staff permanently resides on the campus. All campuses are secured from 7 pm to 7.30 am and guarded by security guards. Services on campus include public telephone/fax; cafeteria and/or food and drink dispensers; coin operated laundromat on campus; television room.
Students under the age of 18 will not be allowed to go out without a group leader unless they have parental permission. If they have permission, they can go out Tuesday, Wednesday evening till 11:00 p.m. and till 11:00 p.m. or 1:00 a.m. according to the parent's wishes. Price includes tuition, accommodation in a host family (double room), or in campus (rooms for 2, 3 or 4 students), full board , supervision, activities , excursions, round trip transfer from the railway station or airport.
