Description
This course is suited to those who wish to study intensively and on specific topics but have little time available. The morning language lessons concentrate on general grammar and conversation, while in the afternoon individual lessons students can choose to specialize in a particular area of the language, e.g. business Italian, Italian for journalism or politics, literature, conversation, history of art, etc.

Monday - Orientation tour of Siena

Film session: “Una pura formalita” by Tornatore

Thursday - Local wine and food tasting at the "Terra di Siena"

Tuesday - Wednesday - The fifties in Italy, from doce vita to economic miracle
Thursday -Practical phonetics and pronunciation
Friday - End of month party with awarding certificate of merit for the months best student.

Holidays
2007: April 9, 25; May 1; June 2; Aug15; Nov 1; Dec 8, 22, 2007 to Jan 6, 2008. On July 2 and Aug16, the school is closed in the afternoon but lessons will be held on other days. 2008: March 24; April 25; May 1; June 2; Aug 15; Nov 1; Dec 8, 19, 2008 to Jan 5, 2009. On July 2 and Aug 16,the school is closed in the afternoon but lessons will be held on other days.

Accommodations
Home stay accommodations include single room and halfboard. Homestay are located approx. 20 minutes from the school by bus. 2 week cost: $653
