Some activities
Some of the most beautiful and alluring beaches are here. Praia Da Pajucara, its main attraction with Jangadas (small sailing boats) that take visitors to the Piscinas Naturis (tidal pools), Maceio has the sea and lagoons that are the envy of tourism driven cities all over the world. then Maceio is also fortunate to have a year round tropical climate with an average temperature of 75 degrees. Besides being on the coast, Maceio also has a broad scope of cultural and environmental attractions. On the one hand, places like Penedo and Marechal Deodoro (historical colonial cities) have beautiful architectural sites and cities, including the house of the first President of the Republic of Brazil, Marechal Deodoro. On the other hand, Pontal do Peba (banco de camaroes), Murici (Atlantic forest) and Berra de Santo Antonio (a sea cow reserve) are favorites for those who look for environmental stimulation.
Some examples include a weekend ski trip to the Pyrenees,: weekend trip to Irati or Baztan with horseback riding; trekking and surfing at Mundaka and Plencia; Butron castle, sopelana (surf). Other activities include a weekend trip to asturias; dam of Vitoria; weekend trip to Zaragoza; trip to Madrid or Barcelona.
Students are also offered 2 free dance classes/week (December to April) of Capoeira or Brazilian Dance (Axe, Forro, Pagode, Samba). The most popular celebration in Northern Brazil is June’s Special “Festas Juninas”. Sao Joao (June 24) is an excellent opportunity to sample Northern Brazil’s many types of dance and music.
