These prices include 1 week’s full board accommodation and lessons.
These prices are per student per week and include lessons, accommodation and three meals per day except where students request accommodation only or lessons only. One week = Sunday to Sunday.
If you require a number of hours of tuition different from that offered, please ask us for a quote.

Description
This program allows students to have 25 hours of lessons or 15 hours of lessons and 10 hours of activities. You will live the normal life of the teacher’s family and will benefit from at least one excursion per week chosen by the teacher without extra charge. If students wish to choose specific activities themselves, they should do so from our activity program. Our activities may consist of excursions or sports accompanied by an adult member of the host family. Our charges for excursions or sport time are the same as the teaching rate, therefore students can substitute 1 hour of activities for each hour of lessons that they wish provided that this is arranged at the time the stay is booked. In addition, the student must pay for all expenses including all entrance fees and bus or train tickets for both themselves and the person accompanying them. Similarly, in the case of sports such as tennis, golf or horse riding, students must pay for themselves and the family member accompanying them. We cannot always guarantee your requests, but the students are free to choose the excursions or sports they like. We try to accommodate you as best we can. It can be more challenging if it is a late booking or if the student places restrictions on the type of family selected (children of the same age, vegetarian, non smoker, centre of town, etc....)

Students taking our Standard Course will live the normal life of the teacher’s family and will benefit from at least one excursion per week chosen by the teacher but without extra charge. If students wish to choose specific activities themselves, they should do so from our activity program. Port of Hamburg, boat trip to the modern harbor and historic warehouse city, Ovelgonne ships museum, Elbe Tunnel, historic harbour, old city tour, St. Michael's Church, multi-vision show, Jenisch Park & house, Barlach sculpture museum, visit the old commercial town of Lubeck.
Holidays
Any bookings which include the 24, 25 or 26 December (Christmas), or 31 December or 1 January (New Year) will be subject to a surcharge according to the country chosen.
Accommodations
The accommodation is in the teachers home. You will have a bedroom and bathroom for your use and full board. Minimum program charge is 1 week (Week is Sunday to Sunday) There is a 2/3/4 day crash course available where you still get all the lessons at no extra charge during the shorter period. Two students in the home sharing lessons at the same level and dates get a 20% reduction for each student.
A per week supplement is for a private bathroom according to the country chosen.
There is an option for accommodation without lessons which is deducted from the minimum 10 hour program price.
Another option is an accompanying person sharing a room without lessons. Age 0-4 = 75% reduction in the program price; 5-11 = 50% reduction and 12 and over = 20% reduction. These reductions do not apply to those having lessons. Babysitting can be arranged for young children while their parents have lessons, with the cost being approximately $25 per hour according to the country chosen.
The 5 star luxury accommodation option is designed for business professionals and families who are used to a very high standard of living and require a higher standard of accommodation. The price is double the standard program price.
Transfer Info
Fixed transfer rates are $107 one way, except for New York & Tokyo. We try to keep transfer prices as low as possible, but students who feel it would be cheaper to arrange transportation for themselves are welcome to do so. The host family doing the transfer blocks out a whole morning or afternoon, so the price indicates the time element, not the distance. With the exception of Tokyo and New York the transfer prices are standardized. The price we quote are for a one-way transfer from the nearest airport, rail station or seaport to the family home. Other quotes on request. THESE CHARGES WILL BE INCREASED IF THE STUDENT DOES NOT ARRIVE AT THE AIRPORT INDICATED CAUSING A LONGER JOURNEY. We can arrange transfers if we receive flight numbers and arrival times at least one week in advance. Unaccompanied students under 16 must take 2-way transfers.
