The School
The school in located in tiny whitewashed village of Benalmadena, Malaga. Situated between two seas and two continents, Andalucia is the largest of Spain´s natural regions and the one with the highest population. The region is widely and richly varied: The sierra Morena, The Guadalquivir Valley and Betica ranges. The climate, as varied as its geographical features, is Mediterranean with mild winters and dry summers.
Andalusia has a rich artistic variety: there is proof of the influence of the Mediterranean culture in the countless Phoenician and Greek remains. Not to mention the beautiful Monuments left after the Islamic period. Málaga is the smallest of the Andalusian provinces. It has a privileged place at the mouth of the Guadalmedina river, on the Mediterranean Coast.
Benalmádena is a town of 30.000 Inhabitants. Originally a fishing village with beautiful white washed little houses, it has developed into a lively and animated town while retaining its old charm and character. Benalmádena is made up of three areas, each one with its own characteristics: In the hills we find Benalmádena Pueblo, the original and main nucleus of the municipality that today still retains the quiet and peaceful character of the Andalusian villages.
Closer to the coast we find Arroyo de la Miel, a fashionable shopping and commercial area, which enjoys excellent economic growth, and along the coast we find Benalmádena Costa, a cosmopolitan nucleus and an attractive setting in which to enjoy the pleasures of life both on land and sea.
The school was founded in 1976 as a private Spanish school and is situated on the top floor of a modern building with a large terrace where the students can gather and relax. It has 13 large and bright classrooms, all equipped with the latest in audio and video technology. All classrooms have air-conditioning.
