The School
FOR CAMPERS ON A BUDGET - WHAT A DEAL! Salamanca is a scenic, gorgeous city, declared the European Cultural Capital for 2002 and protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. This impressively maintained medieval town is also one of the most youthful areas in Spain; home to the second-oldest university in the world, it continues to attract international students from all corners of the globe.
The campus located within the old city walls, in the heart of the historic center with the whole town accessible by foot. The building itself is a prime example 19th century Castilla y León architecture, and is set in a lively area surrounded by other cultural sites of interest.
The school is a typical salmantino building constructed around a tranquil courtyard in the shape of a U. The school’s 5 floors contain classrooms, a large conference room, a video room, a computer room, student residences, a dining hall, an infirmary and more. The courtyard is a classic cloister and is visible from any of the center’s large, interior glass windows. The patio’s magnificent adornment and structure is complimented by an adjacent 15th century church. Behind the church, there is an extensive sports facility which includes a soccer field, a basketball court, a handball court, a frontón (Basque handball court), a volleyball court, an in-line skating rink and more. Students also have access to a separate, nearby swim club.

Camp counsellor/coaches
Counsellor/coaches, Camp Coordinators and the Camp Directors who supervise them are Spaniards experienced in their fields whom we select and motivate to return year after year. They are selected for their dedication and attention to our students. We have a grand team that works together uniquely and exclusively with this ideal: To make the stay of each student the most enjoyable possible.
Camp Director
After the executive directors of the school, the Director of each school is the person with the greatest level of responsibility. He/she works very closely with the Coordinators and counsellors/coaches of each camp.
Counsellor Coordinators
The students are divided by age into three categories: Babies, Juniors and Seniors. There will be one Coordinator assigned per category. The Co-ordinator works closely with the counsellor/coaches to develop the activities and supervises their implementation. The Coordinator also monitors the participation of students during their stay at camp.
Counsellor/Coaches
One per 8-12 students. The counsellor/coach acts as tutor and is with the students 24-hours per day guiding them and attending to the needs of individuals and the group.
Your child will be able to contact you via an on-campus phone. However, if your child brings a mobile phone, they will only be allowed to use it during designated times. The camp has an answering machine where you can leave messages for your child and an emergency number in case you need to contact the camp director. These numbers will be provided to you one month before your child’s arrival.
Upon arrival, students may deposit their money in the camp bank for safekeeping and withdraw money as needed. Each student’s group monitor will note deposits and withdrawals and keep an eye on the student’s spending habits, in order to help them budget their money.
