The School
Montreal is the second largest city in Canada and one of the largest bilingual cities in the world. French settlers founded it in 1642. It retains an old-world, Latin pace of life. The old city center still has its ancient stone buildings, stone-paved roads and horse-drawn carriages. Montreal is known for it's continental flavor, many fine restaurants and cafes, and vibrant nightlife. The influence of the French and English cultures gives one of Canada's oldest cities its charming character.

Montreal is set on an island in the St. Lawrence River where you can experience live theater and concerts in both languages. The countryside is beautiful around the city where you can watch the leaves turn color in the autumn or the city come alive in the summer. Montreal has everything from hiking and sailing in the summer to skiing and skating in the winter. Montreal is also the fashion capital of Canada. You will discover the "underground city" where you can shop till you drop in more than 17,000 boutiques and major department stores. Or spend your evening in popular restaurants and cafes or the cinema - without ever stepping outside!

This school is located in downtown Montreal, between the beautiful park of Mont-Royal and historic Old Montreal. The school's programs are designed to cover all the essential aspects of spoken and written language through modern methods utilizing a variety of textual, audio, and video materials. To ensure maximum participation, the school keeps the standard classes small with 8 students on average. All teachers are university graduates experienced in teaching French as a foreign language. A variety of cultural and tourist activities are offered to interesting and entertaining destinations. All activities and excursions are optional; students pay as they participate.
