The School
A fascinating metropolis in the heart of Europe, Berlin is now more than ever before, a remarkable city - truly unique. Decades of division following World War II and Berlin’s special status as Allied-occupied territory have left their enduring marks on life here.
Circumstances changed since November, 1989 and Berlin has moved to the forefront of the international scene. The dismantling of the Wall and the opening of borders have made Berlin today one of Europe’s most lively and interesting cities. You can experience first- hand the daily merging of two different societies. No matter what you’re looking for, Berlin will cater to your every desire. You can enjoy the busy street life on the Berlin Boulevards, Kurfurstendamm, and half an hour later enjoy the quiet beauty of the Berlin lakes and forests. For cultural interests, Berlin has world famous museums and galleries, concerts, theaters, cabarets and the annual Berlin Film Festival.
The school is in the very center of Berlin´s trendiest district Prenzlauer Berg. The school has 40 classrooms and is situated on a tree-lined campus - with houses built in the 19th and 20th century, whose architecture reflects German history .
The school offers courses at all levels. The aim of the courses is to improve spoken and written German. Reading and listening skills, as well as writing skills are trained. A systematic approach towards basic grammatical structures provides the necessary knowledge for the correct use of the language.
All teachers are university graduates and are experienced in teaching German to foreign students. The school also organizes various activities in the afternoons and evenings - sight-seeing tours, visits to the Reichstag, the Brandenburger Tor, the National Gallery and the Pergamon Museum, a stroll through the traditional Berlin flea markets and other historically interesting parts of the city.
